Pizza!

I was recommended to buy a pizza stone, so I found one, and had a go at the recipe….I cannot understand for the life of me, how on earth do you get a fresh pizza ONTO the stone? The stone has to be in a pre-heated oven for 30 mins before you then place the pizza onto the stone. I can only transfer via a piece of baking paper, but then, I think the base does not benefit from the extra drying effect of the stone. I mean, that was the point, wasn’t it? To get an amazing crust? I don’t know, the jury is still out for me on that one.

    Is it not possible to slide the pizza onto the stone using the paddle ?

    1. Hi Barry, it should be possible, but I didn’t want to try the first time and possibly destroy the beautifully designed pizza that my very hungry kids had created! I will take a video of my first attempt and post it for some giggles.
